Capt Belamy has been stationed in the desert for a very long time...too much time away from the warmth and love of his wife. He's going crazy...the soldiers tell Capt Belamy that they see Jewel - a camel - when they are in need of feminine companionship. Unfortunately, the Capt misunderstands that the soldiers only see Jewel or a ride to town to see a woman.
